Biography
Ella Jeon is a current senior at Amador Valley High School. Since youth, she has always remembered loving the art of words and sentences and the stories they form. Beginning her writing journey early on, she wrote her first short story, From Klutz to Klutch, kickstarting a love for creative writing. From there, she experimented with poetry with which she became a finalist and Bronze Medalist in the Genius Olympiad by Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the Creative Writing Poetry Category's environment-based theme of July, 2022.
As she delved into writing longer stories, she pursued learning opportunities like the Juniper Young Writers Program in the summer of 2022, as well as the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio in the summer of 2023. These experiences have contributed to her ongoing writing projects, two novels in particular, throughout the past couple years.
